Dr. Allison Riley, PT, DPT, OCS
Hi! I’m Dr. Allison Riley, a physical therapist with advanced training in both orthopedic and pelvic health. I work with people who want to feel better efficiently—and stay strong, confident, and active long-term.
Rooted in care. Focused on progress. Centered on you.
That’s not just a tagline—it’s how I approach every person I work with.
I believe physical therapy should do more than chase symptoms. The goal is to help you understand your body, reduce pain effectively, and build the strength and resilience to keep issues from becoming recurring or limiting problems.
I earned my Bachelor of Science from Gettysburg College, where I also played collegiate softball, and went on to receive my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2011.
With over a decade of clinical experience, I’ve pursued extensive continuing education in orthopedic care, pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, and gait and running mechanics. I am dry needling certified and integrate hands-on treatment with movement analysis and progressive strength training to create meaningful, lasting change.
My Approach
My care starts with listening—really listening—to your goals, your history, and how your symptoms affect your life. From there, I use a root-cause, multi-system approach to identify what’s actually driving the problem, not just where it shows up. The body does not function in isolated parts, so I assess how different systems work together—breathing, core coordination, hips, spine, gait, strength, mobility, and load management.
Treatment is designed to help you feel better efficiently while also improving how your body moves, manages load, and responds to stress. As symptoms improve, we build meaningful strength and movement capacity so your body can tolerate real-life demands—whether that’s sport, exercise, work, pregnancy, or everyday activity.
Education is part of every session. I want you to leave understanding why something is happening, what to pay attention to, and how to manage it moving forward—so physical therapy doesn’t feel like a revolving door.
Who I Work With
I work with active, busy people across the lifespan, including those dealing with:
Acute orthopedic injuries or muscle and joint pain
Sports related injuries
Pelvic floor symptoms such as bladder or bowel concerns, pelvic pain, or pressure
Pregnancy & postpartum needs
Ongoing or recurring issues that haven’t fully resolved with traditional care
Some people come in wanting fast relief so they can get back to training or daily life. Others want help understanding more complex or long-standing symptoms. My role is to meet you where you are—and guide care based on your goals.
