Frequently Asked Questions

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through the contact form if you have questions, or click here to schedule online.

  • My goal is not just to resolve your current symptoms, but to help you understand the bigger picture of what’s happening in your body. Together, we’ll connect the pieces so you can build body awareness, develop tools to manage symptoms independently, recognize early warning signs of flare-ups, and know exactly how to address them.

Along the way, we’ll work to balance asymmetries in muscle activation, improve strength and resiliency, and maximize your overall function — so you can continue doing what you love with confidence.

  • You can reach me anytime via the contact page or email. I aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.

  • Your first session is a comprehensive, one-on-one evaluation. We’ll take a detailed look at your gait and functional movement patterns to identify the true drivers of your symptoms — not just where it hurts. You’ll receive hands-on treatment as needed, individualized movement corrections, and clear education about what we’re seeing and why it matters. You’ll leave with practical strategies to begin managing symptoms and addressing movement imbalances right away.

Follow-up sessions are scheduled based on your goals and progress. Each visit is tailored to where you are in the process and may include manual therapy, progressive strength work, movement retraining, and updates to your home program. The focus is always on helping you feel better, move better, and build long-term resilience so you can stay active and independent.

  • You do not. Massachusetts is a direct access state, meaning you do not need a referral to begin physical therapy. Our doctors are trained in differential diagnosis and may refer you to an appropriate provider if symptoms are outside the scope of physical therapy care.

  • Stride Physical Therapy & Wellness is an out-of-network provider, which allows me to prioritize your care — not insurance company restrictions. As a private pay clinic, I do not bill insurance directly. Instead, you receive one-on-one, 60-minute sessions focused entirely on your goals, without limitations on treatment time, techniques, or visit frequency.

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits and will reimburse a portion of your investment. After each visit, I provide a detailed superbill that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Please note, while I provide all required documentation, I do not communicate directly with insurance companies or participate in back-and-forth claims processing.

  • Not necessarily. An internal pelvic floor exam is one assessment tool, but it is never required and is always your choice.

Pelvic floor function can often be evaluated through a detailed history, breathing patterns, posture, movement assessment, and how your hips, core, and ribcage are working together. Because the pelvic floor is part of a larger system, I frequently gather valuable information without needing an internal exam.

If an internal assessment would provide helpful information for your specific symptoms, I will explain why, answer all of your questions, and obtain your full consent before proceeding. You are always in control — we can modify, defer, or decline at any time.

My goal is to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and supported while we identify the drivers of your symptoms and create a plan that helps you feel stronger and more confident in your body.
